우수에 찬 듯한 사슴의 모습에 매료되어 한동안 사슴들을 그렸었다.
제목과 다르게 역설적으로 나는 나 자신을 사랑할 수 없었던 것 같다.
숲을 거닐던 사슴이 문득 돌아보듯 나도 나 자신을 문득 돌아본다.
"너는 너 자신을 사랑하고 있니?, 너는 어떤 길을 가고 있어?”라고 묻고 있는 것 같다.
I was captivated by the melancholic gaze of a deer,and for a while, I found myself painting deer over and over again.
In truth—contrary to the title—I don’t think I truly knew how to love myself.Like a deer pausing in the forest and turning its head,I, too, began to glance back at myself.
As if it were asking me:"Do you love yourself?What path are you walking on?"
